I wake up this morning to quiet cup of coffee; how much more relaxing than the last week of jumping up quickly to stagger and run into a door jam. I never knew what the power of friendship and love could do for a person. A beautiful, strong independent lady who has been with us nearly 85 years is the ending of her life in the way SHE wishes with dignity and class they way she has lived her entire life. I am amazed what LOVE can do. She has gotten stronger everyday that we have been with her. The last week has been filled with the sound of her laughter and her house filled with so many people who admire and love her and she has adored every moment. The understanding of the true impact this lady has had on our COUNTY is truly remarkable. She has been told time again and again that she is Ms. Havre de Grace and that is so true. My time in Havre de Grace has given me the opportunity to meet many remarkable people and witness many experiences. Ms. Jean Mears has given more than anyone can imagine and as I have witnessed this week she has done this for many people in our community. I have many surprises working for her in the weeks to come; the laughter and reflection will continue.
