I wanna send a special shout out to Layth Abdelqader & Mark Hypnotyza Raich this morning. They are both close friends and great DJs who I met while they were already DJing but I mentored them both and as or now each one works at one of the hottest 2 clubs in the city. What is special about them both is that they both took the time to learn, still to this day they both come out to watch myself and other good DJs play, they are open minded and continue to learn. That is how you go far. Ive seen very similar successes DJs my man Adam Nugget Kulik has mentored as well as Alex Nepa in PSU but the point is you have to open yourself up and allow yourself to be mentored and learn. Im sure Adam & Alex have dealt with both types of DJs as well. Ive mentored many guys who 3 months or even 3 weeks in thought they knew better than me. They eventually got bitter I wasnt hooking them up with gigs and bailed on being a even a friend. The reason I was not getting them gigs is was they werent ready YET. I still learn every week, every day. I learn from those much better than me and I also learn from DJs who I am better than overall but they may do a certain thing better than me. Be open. Constantly learn. Its the best path to success. Congrats again to my homies for all they have accomplished.
