I want to share with you how important it is to donate to this organization. It is very hard to watch your child go through the difficulties with diabetes. To have a perfectly normal life and it changed drastically with the blink of an eye. Our daughter, Kelsie Woodside, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes less than a week before her 7th grade year. She was already dealing with changing schools due to a school consolidation and entering junior high but now she had to adapt to trying to learn how to give herself shots of insulin, learning how to do carb/insulin ratios, a whole new language she had to learn and deal with the highs and lows and then, to be different from the other kids. She struggled through all the teen years and it has been very difficult for her but she is now very much adapted to her way of life and has learned she is not so different because now she has a very close friend who struggles with this disease too, Hannah Feld. Thank you Hannah for being such an amazing friend...you are truly a Blessing to her. Kelsie is now studying to be a social worker to help those who struggle with this disease and to help people learn how to live with and deal with other illnesses as well. We are so proud of you Kelsie...dont ever forget how you Light Up a Room when you Walk In! You will Touch Many Lives and Help Many People.. Love you Kelsiebutt........
