I want to take a minute to thank God and some people that he has placed in my life. I tell you...God have a way of letting the devil uncover some stuff from your past that you thought you healed from--and he gives you the ability to test that therory. I have practiced Patience, Acceptance, and Tolerance. I learned how to Lean on and Let Go and let God. Practiced the Serenity Prayer wholeheartedly and I had to take a moment to thank the Lord for the people that he has put in my life. SO I am going to give them a public shout out...cause these people continue to be a blessing to my life and they aint even know it. Please understand that this list is not exhaustive...but definately God has highlighted you in the fore front of my brain. Dorothy Crawford AKA MOM : YOU ARE MY MOTHER!! FOR REAL! I emulate you daily. You taught me so much, without you I wouldnt know how to be the mother I am ---heck the woman I am. You taught me not only how to handle business, but to be the business! I never had an eviction notice, never had my lights shut off--you taught me how to handle household affairs and how to stay strong in the face of adversity. You showed me what mothers DO, how they ACT, what they THINK! You showed me when to ACT, RE-ACT, and WAIT! I couldnt be able to do half of the Job I do with Jelani without the Love and Guidance you have provided me with thoughout the years. I thank you and honor you. Cause you didnt have to do it mommy but you did...and despite me being hard, emotional, and a knuckle head occasionally---you never stopped loving me, you always were front and center, and if I needed you even if I needed just to hear the TRUTH....you were there with your a** kicking boots on...because you knew I could do and be better. I LOVE YOU MOM! To the WONDER SIBLINGS-- Trina Caver, Kwame Jones, and Kenyetta Cottle- You guys man! Forget DNA--you are my SOUL SIBLINGS! YOU GUYS ROCK! You are loyal, you dont pull punches, and if a Ni**@ would...yall will MASSACRE them! if you all love me HALF ass much as I LOVE YALL ...im GUCCI! Trina--your mouth is lawless...but hey---i get on you too. You tell me the truth even when I dont ask for it and dont want to hear it...but you respect my decisions and we talk about it when we dont agree. You are another FRONT AND CENTER soul....Nothing I wont do for you because it isnt nothing you wont do for me. I know your worth--and if know body knows what a blessing, friend, sister, and WOMAN OF GOD you are...man I know. I tell you every time you pray its like HEAVEN COMES DOWN! I got my prayer warrior, my confidant, and dear I say--my BEST FRIEND...in my sister for real. Kwame- The constant man in my life. The dude with the charm of a serpent and the bite of a pitbull....Kwame is crazy for real...he will go from 0 to 200...cause no body messes with his SISTERS. You are my confidant, my encourager, my back up. I love you to pieces...you are like my first son and my homeboy rolled into one... and I get attackish when it comes to you too...I love you. Kenyetta Michelle: How can I miss you....MY LIL...my poonkas...my baby...I love your little bratty self. Cant nobody say not one bad thing about my baby. She is perfect...PERIOD! I love the woman you have become. I love the relationship we have...I love the fact that you too are always front and center yelling THATS MY SISTER! at everything I do..I love you to PIECES. You will straight shade or smoke someone that did anything to me. You definately ride or DIE! THICK and THIN! You take great offense when someone says anything bad about me--because you know and understand my heart over eveything. SAM IS MY TWIN--COSIGNS EVERYTHING I DO...hell encourages me before I even think it...Thats my cognitive and spiritual mirror right there...We got our own non-verbal language thats why we always giggling...Q...My JIMINY CRICKET...when sam is my devil, Q is the angel on my shoulder. She challenges me to be and do better, to think, to aspire....I LOVE MY GIRLS...TOGETHER THEY KEEP ME BALENCED. MO--the annoying older brother and Jamaal-the sweet big brother that WORRIES alot. Both of you provide me with guidance, you also challenge me to think and do better. Yall dont play...and you make sure that if they dont come correct that they know yall are coming.When my soul is at disease, you guys work to make it right again... I love my big brothers. TOGETHER YOU GUYS KEEP ME GROUNDED, BALENCED, and ACHEIVING. You guys push me to GO GET IT because you believe in me and you Nurture me... YOU GUYS ARE FAMILY! and LAST BUT NOT LEAST....The ying to my YANG, the BLACK to my BLUE, the SHANGO to my OSHUN. You! what can I say about you...You came into my life when I didnt expect it...when I HATED ALL MEN...and gave up.
