I want to thank all of the great people in our community that have shown their support and dedication to making a positive change for Jeff Davis Parish. Our community deserves the best, and its with this commitment that we will continue to move forward towards our goal of equal justice for all of the citizens of our parish. In order to reach our goal, we need to unite our community under the strength and leadership of one person. For this reason, I am withdrawing as a candidate for the office of District Attorney in order to support Wendell Miller in his campaign to be our next District Attorney. In speaking with Wendell Miller, we share the same concerns for the current status of our criminal justice system and have the same goals for a positive change for our community. Rather than compete, I feel that it is in the best interest of our community that we join together to achieve the change that we need...the change that we deserve. Wendell Miller has the experience, knowledge and commitment that is necessary to lead the criminal justice system as our next District Attorney. I look forward to working with Wendell Miller as we combine our trial experience to provide the best District Attorneys Office for the citizens in our community through aggressive prosecution of violent and career criminals. I also look forward to working with Wendell Miller as we renew our goal of cooperation between law enforcement and the citizens of our community to protect the safety of our citizens while insuring equal justice for all. Please join me in supporting Wendell Miller in his candidacy to be our next District Attorney. Its time for a change, and its time to take the politics out of prosecution.
