I wanted to begin to let everyone know what has been happening lately. The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of tests and waiting. I am still waiting on results. I have had two needle biopsies and one skin biopsy and a pet scan already. Good news is It is not in my lymph nodes! I have been given a preliminary diagnosis of stage ll ductal carcinoma, grade 3. I am waiting on the most resent results, because it may change my diagnosis. I have been given a proposed treatment plan which includes chemo, then a mastectomy, then radiation. They are setting me up with a full CT scan to be sure it isnt anywhere else. This is overwhelming news to take in. We are taking it one day at a time. I am in the process of creating a page where I can keep everyone informed and have only now begun to share my news. I had to take care of my children first and get everyone off to college. I am letting you all know this so that while we are in this whirlwind of emotion that we could be covered in prayer and so that you are able to keep apprised of what is going on if we dont answer our phones.
