I was a Mormon until I was 33. I was injured while I was serving a volunteer position as Young Womens President and suffered a 2 year migraine. My Mormon doctor only had opiates to offer me and he offered me PLENTY of them. After 2 years my neighbor gave me some of the cannabis she was growing in her garden. Cannabis literally saved my life. My community rejected me. If Mormons really understood the Word of Wisdom, they would embrace cannabis. I wish I could do something to influence the Mormon leadership to understand that. Ive seen first hand the prescription drug abuse with many other Mormons. The church needs to get honest about its drug abuse problem just like that had to about their racism.
