I was behind a van in the right-turn lane, onto Main Ave. The van stayed at the intersection, looking for traffic, while he had a green arrow and could make a protected turn. Of course I was impatient and said out loud, "What do you need, an effin engraved invitation" and finally he made the turn. I could not wait to get out behind his slow moving butt - I was on the way to a job interview! People, pay attention to your surroundings! Can you imagine how irritated I got as he trailed behind me, and I was speeding and had to stop at every red light but he never slowed down, just kept up the steady pace and coasted through green light after green light? :) I learned a lot from that driver. I hope he forgives me for being irritated with him. Just because I am paying attention to my surroundings does not mean I am mindful and in the moment. Namaste, delivery driver!
