I was fourteen years old, visiting my sister at little siblings weekend at Ohio University, in 1969, in Athens, Ohio. I thought I was going to a Jose Feliciano concert. But the back-up band, who plays first, of course, was Led Zepplin on their second American tour. So at fourteen I got to hear Robert Plant implore, squeeze my lemon, baby, til the juice runs down my leg. He remembered it as Columbus, Ohio, probably because he remembers flying into Columbus. He must have forgotten the forty-five minute ride south, to the Convocation Center, in Athens. At that time, in 1969, it was the largest concert venue in the state. Final summation: I saw Led Zepplin for two dollars and fifty cents.
