I was just thinking. About justice. Since we were little we were taught that the government and the court system is where one goes to get justice. But, is that the ONLY place? I mean, does the government have a complete MONOPOLY on justice? How did the government acquire such monopoly? How can we trust that justice will be served? In one state a rapist can be sentenced (if caught!) to two years, while in another state a rapist in a similar case might get ten years. Is justice relative, then? So, if rapists want to do evil deeds, should they check the statutes of each of the 50 states to determine where it is "cheaper" to commit rapes? Does that make sense? In the more lenient states, does that mean that the suffering of the victim merits a smaller punishment for the perpetrator? But, can "justice" ever really be achieved? If a child killer murders 3 kids, can "justice" be achieved by putting this scum away for, say, 30 years? Does that make the parents of the victims happy? Does that do anything for the dead kids? I think you know where this is going. No, there is nothing that the government can do to restore what has been destroyed. The child is dead. The parents and friends will suffer. Even if the perpetrator is caught, so what? His life is worthless. We can put him away for 500 years and it will not change anything, because his time is also worthless. It is a LIE actively promoted by the government that citizens can find justice at its door. If you lose a child to a murderer, you have lost, accept it. There is nothing on earth that anyone or any government can do to remedy your situation or restore the life of the child. But governments like to promote the justice LIE to make citizens dependent on them and to advance social order and control. Open your eyes and recognize that life is full of irrecoverable losses. And you thought that there is justice in this world. D/
