I was so delighted to help announce the $14.8 million TIGER grants that were awarded to Port Newark Container Facility yesterday. This infrastructure grant will go toward the construction and operation of 3 new super cranes at Port Newark that will help commerce flow more quickly and efficiently. It will also create hundreds of jobs in Newark, lower the costs of consumer goods for the people of New Jersey, and make us a stronger competitor in a growing global economy. Thank you to Secretary Foxx and the U.S. Department of Transportation for investing in Newark.
