I was stopped in Carver county for a traffic violation when the officer searched and found 1/4 gram of hash in my possession. Im a current AZ resident and MMJ cardholder suffering for 18 years with chronic IBS. I retains a lawyer who is endorsed by MNNORML but he couldnt convince the prosecuting attorney to drop or lessen the felony charge. For some odd reason Minnesota decriminalized the flower form of cannabis but reluctantly didnt change the language in the concentrates. Basically Im convicted of a felony for having the equivalent of one gram of flower in hash form. Hash is simply the cannabanoids (medicine) stripped of the plant matter. It is what my doctor prescribed me because of its efficacy in stopping my colon spasms. Ive lost my job as a dispensary agent in Arizona because of state badging doesnt allow felonies or pending felonies in the Medical Marijuana industry. Basically my entire life has been flipped upsidedown over 1/4 gram of my doctor prescribed medicine. Im being sentenced in Carver County Friday Jan. 16th at 8:30 am. It would be awesome if thousands would show up and protest this injustice but Im sure that wont happen. Also I cannot get employed in the gaming industry with a felony. This charge is destroying my ability to be a productive part of society. Lost my job, place I lived at, and future employability over a 1/4 gram of doctor prescribed medicine. Sad story. These UNjust prohibition laws are UNacceptable. MN NORML will work to repeal felony status for cannabis concentrates. #LegalizeItMN
