I was thinking about my short list of pistols I plan on purchasing and I thought it would be a good idea to post it and see what everyone here likes as well. If I get a good response, we can do it all over again with shotguns and rifles, too. Theres no limit on how many, just tell me what you like! These are in no order, but here goes: Sig Sauer P227 .45 ACP Lionheart Industries LH9 MK2 9mm Sphinx Arms SDP Compact 9mm CZ 75-D Compact 9mm CZ P-06 .40 S&W Remington R1 .45 ACP Ruger SP101 .357 Mag Walther PPQ 9mm H&K VP9 9mm Youll notice theres only 2 polymer framed pistols on this list and thats because Im just not that impressed by them in any caliber other than 9mm. Personally, I prefer not to shoot anything larger than a 9mm in a polymer frame, but if the right gun came along I might change my mind. My first ever handgun was a Smith M&P in .40 and I really like the gun actually, I just find that a .40 shoots much nicer out of a metal frame. Its just my preference, I guess. I also have a Sig Pro 9mm, which is polymer, and thats a blast to shoot as well. My current carry pistol is a Sig Sauer P229 in .40, and it shoots as soft as my Sig Pro. What about you? Lets hear it!
