I went to University retirement center(Timber Ridge Manor) for voluntary service tonight. At that place, I met one of residents, grandma Trudy. She was asking me, Are you living here?, Can you come again to talk with me? Are you willing to do that?. I felt like she was so worried that I would not come again and other people would leave her.. After that, I heard some stories about her by chance from one of pastors, so I could know the inside story of her. Also, actually there are more people who need someone to talk with as well as grandma Trudy does. This opportunity reminded me of a bible verse, Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be consoled. (Mt 5,5) I hope they will be consoled by me as well, and I wish many students and people are willing to go there to meet them on Friday evening:) I should like to pray for them before going to bed, especially for grandma Trudy.
