I woke up last night and starting throwing up - it was a horrible feeling - something i ate probably - not a bit deal - as i wretched into the sink i thought of those in Gaza, wounded, bleeding, their homes in rubble...behind all the statistics and rhetoric and who is right bodies lie broken, families and homes blasted to smithereens - it is a sickness you cant know how to heal...how vulnerable you are when your body is wounded, how violence causes for further pain... and no peace without some kind of justice - what would justice look like in such a tangled web. The email I got - as Buddhists we should DO something... i thought of my dear friends in Israel, who i love and are dear to me, who are caught in their reactions, and those in an impossible corner to hold beyond the tribal righteousness and fear, and the narrative of we will push the Jews into the ocean and the man on face book utube, a settler, ranting about this land is ours, the Arabs have no rights he was English - i thought of the huge arms provided by Britain and the US - The USA going on about Russia invading sovereign land and the unleashing of that wild beast of no moral redress as Iraq got blasted back into the stone age...and the airplane came down, with those who could be me or you, with cures for AIDS. Throwing up, down the sink to the Earth - where the feck are we all going as lies upon lies are told by glassy eyed, duplicitous politicians there is no global warming despicable gestures of insanity, pulling us all into a vortex of future madness..underneath it all, the war for resources begins...Syria.. remember her? dear heart, beneath all divisions, i love you, i trust you, i listen into you...you are my raft beyond all madness set loose upon the earth...may all out true hearts prevail - may the madness stop, may we shift to another path beyond our mutual destruction - there are always other ways beyond violence spiraling into more violence - we are all human and we choose our path...we are choosing our future now - let us hold no more divisions...let us be kinder, and may i hold down my tea and toast this morning - and may you be well, because we have a shared destiny, let us make it a good and noble one, worthy of our deepest heart and all those heros gone before who shone the light of our new way.. namo kuan shr yin pusa.
