I wonder. Every morning Boudreaux wakes in his crate and sits staring into my bedroom for signs of life to begin to stirs. Not a sound until I go to him. Every morning we get up and pet. And he stretches out like an old man several times. Then he ventures out to the yard. Normally I open my blinds in the bedroom to look out to see when he is ready to come in. He has very keen sight and hearing. With the slightest movement in the HOUSE he stares right at me and comes to the window. Ha. So much for covert operation on my part. Then in to the house comes Boudreaux as he waits for me to wipe his feet off. Then he runs like a mad dog for the door into Genes bedroom. In his mind it is time to bounce upon him as he sleeps. It was too early this morning. I distracted him to come away and let Gene sleep. But this did not last long. Three times he parked himself at the door. The last time he begin to whimper sadly. I could not stand it. I open that door. Gene can just get up. Boudreaux says its time. Gene patting him his furry friend as he tried to get his eyes to focus. Boudreaux was delighted. We are not sure how old Boudreaux is. We think 11/2 years old. All I have been able to learn is that he was a stray that wondered up to a home with 8 dogs. He remained there for a while. Then he was given to an elderly couple. I figure this is where he learned his indoor manners. I do not know but I sort of figure that old man had this dog in his bed. Also the very first day we all were here in our home Gene was ill with a cold. He fell asleep in his recliner. Boudreaux jumped right on top of him and went to sleep. Gene never woke up. I grabbed my camera for a picture but his radar sensitive hearing hear me and jumped off before I could click. I bet this was something he use to do with his former owner. Boudreaux was taken to 4 Paws after the man suffered a stroke and they were no longer able to care for him. I was told the couple left with the old man with two canes and crying like a baby.This was in Sept. He has been with us lets see. I think it will be 3 weeks Wed. I wonder if he did not do all these things with that old man.
