I wonder how aware people are of whats happening overall in society and the financial markets. For instance, the price of gas has dropped quite a bit in the last 5 weeks and no one can totally give a reasonable answer as to why the markets have become so volatile. Everyone is so happy gas is cheaper but not many are making any long drives. How far have you driven knowing gas is cheaper? Years ago when the gas began to rise the airlines were quick to raise their fares to cover these cost. Has anyone noticed any airfares coming down? With all the talk of GMOs and their ease in yielding more food per acreage, why has the cost of fruits and vegetables increased so much? With so many farms across the country slaughtering record numbers of cow, pigs, chickens, buffalo and lambs, why is the price of meat so much more than a couple of years ago? As much as our technologies are increasing, the promise of making life more affordable has been a farce. Kids who are horrible students are being lied to and told that if they take out student loans and attend college they can make a success of themselves. LIES. Those same students are now suffering in outrageous debt working at Starbucks, and other types of service industries. Is that what they took out $75,000 in loans for? What happened to being honest with kids? Many of them would of been better off getting trained as plumbers or similar types industries. These are respectable jobs that are necessary in society and pay quite well. But instead parents lie to themselves and their kids and direct them into situations that end up hurting them in the long run. What about those families whos only ambition is to beat the system? Rather than encourage their kids to study and at least try to learn a skill of some kind they teach them to beat the system so they can get on public assistance and have society pay for their lack of ambition. There is something really wrong when 3, 4 or even 5 generations of families have been living on the tit of society. And its not even racial because all the races have these same examples happening. Sorry for the rant but all this crossed my mind this morning because of a conversation I had earlier. Weve all taken things for granted in our lives, were human, its bound to happen. But do we truly believe everything is going the way it should? NO. Being self aware is a start but being mindful of our daily decisions is where things will either change for the better or for the worst. Im done with my rant. I wish you all the best.
