I wonder if a corner has been turned. I was sitting here, thinking how nice it would be if the Ocado delivery I was waiting for arrived half-an-hour early, thereby enabling me to perform certain, ah, actions, and, erm, activities, when lo-and-behold, there came a phone call from an agitated driver, begging to be allowed to make his delivery precisely 30 minutes ahead of schedule. I wonder if, in fact, the incident last night with my dwarf doppelgänger was an augury of good times, and not, as I initially assumed, of my doom. Ill know by the end of the day, which must contain, at various points, a literary lunch, a swankily treacherous publishing party, and quite a lot of actual writing ...
