I would just like to clarify that The Child of the year awards is for the children who go above and beyond the call of duty of a child Some of these children are very sick and some are very brave. This is our third year and we will continue for the years ahead to reward our children The awards have changed this year and the overall child of the year will be selected by the panel of judges so as previous there will be a 3rd 2nd and 1st place. Other awards will be a carers award the Steve Prescott award, and many more It will be an amazing event for the children and as Clare has mentioned we all need to remember that this is what the awards are for. Yes, it is amazing that we have Scott Maslen, Peter Andre, Craig Harper and others appearing but the stars of the event are the amazing children that have been nominated this year. The only person that will not be appearing is the female vocalist however we do have a replacement or two so I will leave this as a surprise for the evening. We have an amazing group of fundraisers who are doing the best they can to make certain that the children have a day they will never forget. So, even though there have been some changes I can assure you that the awards will continue to grow and talks are now in place for becoming national. I would like to thank everyone who is raising funds, everyone who has given and to all who are working so hard to help us.
