I would like to share a small part of this evening with you all. I was out all day with my husband when we pulled into a gas station to pump some gas . I happened to look over to the left side of the car and noticed an older man with longer gray hair and dirty clothes was sitting on the ground next to the station building. He was going through a bag he had with him. As I watched him reaching into his bag I thought that he was eating something. As I looked at him I was over-come by great compassion. I reached for my purse and took out some money and walked up to him. As I stood in front of him I noticed he was taking pennies out of the bag and seemed to be counting them and putting them on the sidewalk next to him. I also noticed his legs were swollen and all blue and purple like they were all bruised. I had some money in my hand and as I reached out to hand it to him he just looked at me as though he didnt believe I was wanting to share even a meal with him. I felt so sad. I prayed that God would watch over him and others in the same circumstances. And I thanked God for the opportunity I had today in helping this man at least in a small way. I feel so blessed!
