I would like to take a moment to acknowledge and mourn a careless loss - Today was a beautifully aromatic, melodic, vibrant rainy Autumn day - one of my favorites - but little did I know that while I was verbally praising the sounds of the heavy weather, I was also unwittingly celebrating the demise of a much loved little book, all due to my own atrocious error! I went out to get parsley around midday, and found my plein air sketchbook I bought in England so many years ago...silently...dying...Here are stills of the death, the paint-blood oozing from the sodden pages, and our effort to tenderly salvage what we could. It isnt too bad, but the real bite for me is that the last page was thoroughly ruined BEFORE I got a digital copy of it. So, the painting I was going to upload today? Nope, gone for good. Time for some Zen to let go of the brief life of my own creation...And to try to not be so horrifically absent-minded next time! Now, a moment of silence >
