I wrote this forth kids. I am trying to pick an ending.. Should it be happy or sad? A grandmother tree listens to the flock of geese, resting in the shade she provided. She heard this... One old goose addressing a young goose, so, today was your first time leading the flight, and how do you think it went? The young goose replied, I think it went well, I flew in the front for two hours, and everyone else only did one. I feel stronger and faster then everyone. The old goose nodded and smiled. and when you took your place at the back of the line, how did you feel then? The young goose said, I dont like it as much. I could not see as far and then I got bored and tired and I began to fall behind everyone else. When do I get to be in the front again? The old goose thought for a moment and then told the young goose this. You can be in the leader again after everyone in the flock has grown as strong as you. Can you wait for that time to come? The young goose thought for a moment and said, Perhaps I will go on my own, and then I will always get to be the leader. The old goose said, You must follow your heart, but remember behind us is icy fox and he is strong too.
