IN DEFENSE OF ARRANGED MARRIAGES (crazy but true....just thinking) I would like to support the motion moved by Edward Gunda on the goodness of arranged marriages. It may look ostensible at first but I am moved to sustain its perspicacity by providing valid points. Though some may be quick to judge it as my usual shenanigan to cajole some unsuspecting minds who are separated from reason by a great chasm, my aim is not to cause any mental hullabaloo but to initiate a certain train of thought. My first point is that arranged marriages can create/free productive minds. The process of kuhopela is agonizing and demands painstaking activities of the subject(ohopela) towards the object(ohopeledwa). Kuhopela demands a huge allocation of mental resources e.g. brain Random Access Memory(RAM) which lowers the brain processing power. This in general lowers productivity. The kuhopela syndrome affects our youths (14-26) which make up at least 60% of our countrys population therefore rendering our country as a whole unproductive. By having arranged marriages we could free our youths productive minds by shifting their focus from this whole kuhopela process to something else. My second point is that arranged marriages could level the competition ground. It has been observed with sadness that some men cannot properly articulate their purpose and feelings to a woman.This puts them to a disadvantage thereby they endure monopoly from excellent orators. Arranged marriages could also ease the pain of some virtuous ladies who are not approached by men for reasons known to men themselves. Some may argue to say that arranged marriages subjugates the power of love.But even people not married through arranged marriages still experience divorce and harangues.That removes the argument that un-arranged marriages are all rosy and filled with love so why not try arranged marriages? #Feel free to cross-examine my logical framework
