Information about the conference Organizing Committee “Altargana 2014” invites you to take part in the international scientific-practical conference “Buryat National Festival “Altargana”, history and results” in the framework of the festival “Altargana 2014”, which takes place on 17 July 2014 in Soum Dadal, Khentei aimag, Mongolia. Purpose of the conference: For 20 years, since 1994, International Buryat national festival “Altargana” held every two years. Every time International Buryat Festival Altargana became a great cultural event for the Buryats and stimulate convergence and consolidation in the preservation of national spiritual and material culture of the Buryat-Mongols. The festival aims to create an atmosphere to this historic event was one of the binding steps to stimulate the relationship of buryat ethnic group in the preservation of traditional consciousness and national identity in the context of globalization. International Scientific Conference, held in frame of the festival “Altargana 2014 - the year of jubilee” intends to pursue a scientific discussion and constructive dialogue between scientists- specialists of Mongolia and Russia and Abroad for evaluation work on the role and significance of the festival “Altargana” in the development of the national mentality, in the preservation of national culture and its integration into the modern world. The conference is invited to discuss the following issues: • Development of the festival “Altargana” and its historical significance and results for the Buryat-Mongols • Festival “Altargana” and traditional consciousness and spirituality of the Buryat-Mongols • Buryat culture, art, awareness and understanding of their history • Festival Altargana and development of buryat traditional sports • Contribution of the Buryat-Mongols into nomadic civilization development • History of the nomadic culture of the Buryats and value of their ethnic culture • Language, ethnic identity of the Mongolian peoples • Ethno-linguistic, ethno-historical and socio-political processes • Traditional and modern livestocking • Economic understanding and values of festival “Altargana” • Buryat folklore, literature, and the characteristics of the traditional culture • The process of rapprochement of the Mongolian ethnic group in the era of globalization • The trend of development of the national traditional art of Buryat-Mongols • Buryat traditional crafts and its current state, the prospect • Buryat-Mongols living in todays changing world Requirements for the materials: Received report should have relevant scientific evidence and treatment used advanced investigation methods for problems relating to research, have a particular importance in the development of research of history, importance and trends of Buryat cultural Festival “Altargana”. Summary in any foreign language having 200 words in limit. To participate in the conference report can be sent to the email address or send a file or paper to the organizing committee. Issuance of reports as proceeding of conference and presentation in the Internet will done, therefore desirable to produce a report by email. Payment for the publication of the report on arrival at the conference. Technical requirement to the report: The volume of material is not more than 6 pages, A4 format, type Arial, Times New Roman, font size 12, spacing Singl, margins 2.5 cm - from all sides.
