INORDINATE DESIRES 2 (Day 18 - NEW LEAF) #SOULFOOD Friday January 23, 2015 Adolf Hitler (1889-1945), German political and military leader, and one of the 20th centurys most powerful dictators. The man who turned Germany into a fully militarized society and launched World War II in 1939. He instituted sterilization and euthanasia measures to enforce his idea of racial purity among German people and slaughtered millions of Jews, Sinti and Roma (Gypsies), Slavic peoples, etc, all of whom he considered inferior. Hitler hoped to conquer the entire world, and for a time dominated most of Europe and much of North Africa. At First, the stunning victories of the German armies persuaded almost everyone but Winston Churchill who made the statement that Hitler’s “new order” was Europe’s destiny. The Bible says; ‘For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the father, but is of the world. 1 John 2:16 NKJV We need to draw a line between VISION and AMBITION since the difference is very slim. It is good to build a world-class house, buy a reigning car, be a president, a CEO of a multinational, make a name or a headline. But where will it lead you to – suicide as Hitler? Look into your plans, visions and ambitions and know if there are traces of error in them. Also consider your associations; whether they conflict with Godliness and do repent accordingly. PRAYER: Oh Lord, may I not be one who will spark off a strange fire against your mandate. May I not yield to inordinate desires in Jesus name; Amen!
