INTRODUCTION Ignorance is the greatest enemy that man has. Sin or Satan is not our enemy but ignorance. It is a force, it’s a life stealer. Hosea 4: 6a. “My people are destroyed by lack of knowledge”. This implies that destruction in any area of our lives whether personally or nationally is related to “lack of knowledge”. God created man to dominate the earth. Gen 1:26 says, “Then God said, “let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule (have dominion) over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth and over all the creatures that move along the ground.””. Each of us has within him the same Spirit of God and the future exists in our mind, by His Spirit in us. God declared all that we have seen, can see and will ever see through His Spirit. This is the Spirit of creation; the aspiration to determine our own individual destinies. God called into existence all He wanted which existed in His mind. The scripture says in Romans 4:17 “As it is written: I have made you a father of many nations. He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed- the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.” It follows that every man is responsible for what happens in his life by the same Spirit of God which created the world and which He planted in you. You can programme your tomorrow, the choice is yours, and you are responsible for all that happens in your life. In this book, I have enunciated all that you need to do to, to have a wonderful tomorrow; I put it into your hands today. Use it and find life enjoyable and not enduring, you are studying the secrets of a successful life. CHAPTER ONE YOUR SIGHT, THE KEY “The word of the Lord came to me: “What do you see, Jeremiah?” “I see the branch of an almond tree.” I replied. The Lord said to me, “You have seen correctly for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled” Jeremiah 1:11-12. Friend, seeing is the first vital key to unlocking your tomorrow; if you can see it, you will have it. If you can see it, you will seize it. The power of imagination, that is, using the mind’s eye to create or design one’s desire can never be exaggerated. Because even in the scripture, the emphasis which God places on “seeing” before receiving is vividly clear. He told Jeremiah that He would bring to fulfillment what he has seen. This and other scriptural verses show how God is committed to bringing to reality whatsoever His children can see as a miracle. He told Abraham in Gen. 13:14-15 “the Lord said to Abraham after Lot had parted from him, “Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever””. He said as far as he could see (all the land that you see) He will give to him. This implies, and rightly so, that your miracles and blessings in life are limited by your sight. Your visioning or imaginings determine the magnitude of your greatness. You cannot amount to anything above what you perceive of yourself. There is a familiar saying that you cannot grow as far as your own nose. This is one of the problems that believers have. They cannot see beyond their own noses (that is, problems or obstacles) and as such, are always limiting themselves and being pessimistic in their hearts. This attitude, friend, is what will lead you to your downfall. If you cannot see yourself a successful man in life, I’m afraid you’ll never reach that peak, because you can only progress as far as your “sight”. Thus, “he who knows where he will be tomorrow, where he is today doesn’t matter”. Why? Because he has a focus, a vision (mental picture) of what he wants and it drives him as inner zeal until he reaches his goal. Sometime ago, there was a great split in my congregation due to evil seeds, sown by one of my pastors then. On his exit, he took almost the whole church with him, but I was not brought down by that great shaking, because I have my focus and I know where I’m heading to. So like Paul, I was able to say that I was perplexed but not in despair. Today, our ministry is still thriving; even those that left are finding their way back. It takes a man who knows where he is going to, to get to his destination even without asking questions because he knows the way in spite of all odds. King David understood the importance of sight in being enriched. He said in Psalm 119:18 “Open thou my eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law”. Your prayer should be, “Open my eyes O Lord that I may see my future the way you see it, and so have a focus and expectation for my blessing”. This is a vital prayer because if you begin to see like God, you will begin to speak like Him (but this will fully be considered in another chapter). Also, when you see like God, you shall begin to possess your blessings faster with an even greater faith; this can be seen in the following verse Deut 2:24, “Rise ye up, take your journey and pass over the river Arnon, behold I have given into thy hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon and his land: begin to possess it and contend with him in battles”. The NIV version says, “See I have given into your hand Sihon…” So friend, when you begin to see like God, you draw near to fulfilling your destiny for God sees the end from the beginning. CHAPTER TWO YOUR MIND IS THE FACTORY “Keep thy heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life” Prov. 4:23. “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men, yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end” Eccl 3:11. The content of your mind is who you are or will be tomorrow. Your today is the product of the thoughts you entertained yesterday. This is a vital truth which most Christians fail to comprehend. The mind of a man is the factory where he makes the raw materials for what he will be tomorrow. It is the kitchen where he cooks up the out-come of his life. That is what the introductory verse simply means. The mind should be kept or protected from negative thoughts and pessimism for what is in the mind normally makes up the life of an individual. That is why you as a believer must heed what Paul said to the Romans in Rom.12:2, “And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind”. Most people fail in life because they have entertained thoughts of failure. Furthermore, people place for themselves limitations in their minds, handicapping themselves from reaching their full potentials. They think they cannot do something and so they can’t and will never. That is why in Phil 4:8 Paul exhorts, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are noble, whatsoever things are just…whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things”. He realized that we eventually become the sum of all our predominant thoughts. If you as a believer should dwell mostly on impure thoughts, you will exhibit lust. Similarly, if you indulge in meditation of God’s word daily, you will equally see a manifestation of God’s word daily, you will equally see a manifestation of the spirit behind those words in your daily walk. Prov.23:7 says, “For as he thinketh in his heart so is he”. Any thought you entertain in your heart for a long time has a way of expressing itself in your frequent actions and situations. With this knowledge at hand, there’s now need for you to address your thought pattern. 2 Corint.10:5 says, “Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”. Every thought that those not fall in line with God’s word should be cast down and your thoughts should be brought in line with his word so that you might flourish. Jesus Christ said in Matt. 12:37, “For by thy words thou shalt be justified and by thy words thou shalt be condemned”. In verse 35, He said, “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things”. Notice the emphasis on good man and evil man, and good treasure and evil treasure respectively. Meaning that the man is made either good or evil by his thoughts (that is, good or evil treasure). So, you can now see that what you will be in life (that is, what you will bring forth out of your treasure hold or mind factory) is determined by the “stuff” you have in the factory. If you desire to be successful you must dwell on such thoughts that will bring about success in your life. Finally, I re-emphasize that for God to do what He desires in your life, He needs your co-operation. Philem. 14 says, “but without thy mind will I do nothing: that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly”. You must help, by allowing Him to manufacture fruits of His own kind in your factory so that the result will be evident for all to see. How? By obeying Phil. 4:8 in thinking on the right kinds of thoughts. CHAPTER THREE YOUR TONGUE IS THE REFEREE The tongue is one of the smallest members of the body which wields the greatest amount of power in the body. The tongue is the planter of many giant destinies. It is a life saver and at the same time a destroyer. The tongue is the craftsman that frames up the words that mark your greatness or failure. The tongue of a man is what has destroyed many lives. It has brought joy to some, sorrow and ill-health to others. The tongue is Gods match stick to ignite the course of your destiny. The tongue is the water that quenches the fire in a man. Prov.13:3 says, “He who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin” (NIV). This is a mystery and it can only be understood when you begin to appreciate the authority and power in your tongue. Don’t ask how, that is the way God has made it. God has made you in His own image and likeness, thus, the things that He is able to do, you can likewise do them. Heb. 11:2 states categorically that this world was formed by the words that God spoke at creation and that same power to speak things into existence is what God has put in your tongue. Prov. 13:2a from the NIV says, “From the fruits of his lips a man enjoys good things”, that is why it is easy for a man to bring destruction upon himself just by verbalizing his negative thoughts. The bible says “guard your lips”, that is, be careful of what comes out of it, because your tongue will plant the seeds of your heart, and you will reap them. Witches and occultic people have cashed in on this mystery, which is why they are able to place curses on people and make life terrible for them. They utilize the power in their tongue. God’s word says in Eccl. 15:2 “Do not be quick in your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth so let your words be few” (NIV). This is a warning to every believer and it is worthy of meditation. I know of a man of God who said some terrible things to his pregnant wife while they were having a misunderstanding and this nearly cost the woman her pregnancy. When he went to the hospital to see her, he remembered the decrees he uttered over her in anger. He then quickly said to his wife, “you shall not die and neither shall the baby”. The baby then relaxed in the mother’s womb and there was no miscarriage. Yet I know another man of God who cursed his wife’s finances because he felt angered and insecure by the way she made her money. This woman’s finances crumbled to the extent that she was sent packing to her father’s house. However, when she realized her mistakes, she pleaded with her husband to withdraw his words. As soon as he did this, she was restored to her former state, no more sweat. Eccl.8:4 says, “There is power in the words of a king, who can say unto him what doest thou”. Recognize the power behind your every utterance and then you will not talk any how and when you are despondent or angry, you will not be hasty to speak. In your tongue lies your destiny shaper. Take time out and speak what you will into your life. Speak to your wife, husband, children, ministry etc and you will definitely reap it. James 3:3-8 is the sums total of what I’ve been saying in this chapter about the effect of using your tongue in a positive manner that will benefit you. Know that your tongue is the referee that blows the whistle. “When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder to wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boast. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison”. James 3:3-8(NIV) The tongue is the compass of life indicating the way to go, by the words of failure or success it frames. The tongue is Gods tool to mend the lives of men. The tongue is set on fire by hell, for doing mischief in the lives of men, by demon. The tongue, the referee of life, either allows a goal (success) or disallows it. The tongue is always blowing its whistle in the field of play by its own power indicating which side, whether good or evil, God or Satan, will carry the day. The tongue is small but mighty, holding or letting go of the hand of it creator who said in Num.14:28, “As you have said unto my ears so will I do unto you”. CHAPTER FOUR THE ANGELS ARE YOUR SERVANTS “Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” Heb.1:14 (NIV). The angels of God are the enforcement agents of our spoken words. They help bring to pass those things that we have uttered positively. Likewise, the fallen angels, the demons, bring to be all negative utterances. God knows we cannot enter the spirit realm in our fleshly form, so he sent us his angels to go and enforce our words so that we can get the fruits of it in this physical realm. Eccl. 5:1 says, “Do not let your mouth lead you into sin. And do not protest to the temple messenger (or angel) “My vow is a mistake””. This emphasizes that angels watch closely for every vow that falls from our lips and to do accordingly. This is what they are made for. It is only people that understand this mystery that enjoy it. Others fall into the trap of angel worship, forgetting that the angels are their servants. The book of Ps.103:20-21 says, “Praise the Lord, you His angels who do all His commands, hastening unto the voice of His word. Praise the Lord all His angels that exalteth in strength”. The angels of God will obey the words of your mouth at any time, thus, you should put them to work by giving them direct commands on the issues you want resolved. Command them concerning your business, command them concerning your marriage, command them concerning your academics, and even command them concerning your enemies. Use them to their utmost, and reap the benefits of their service and you will see them bring to the present your desires and go into your future having the things you spoke into existence waiting for you there. FINAL WORD “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” Gen 1:1. Beloved think about this, before the beginning where was the world? The world and where it will be, the designs, the days of creation etc had been in existence in the thoughts of God, before the beginning. Which beginning? Beginning of creation! God said to Jeremiah “before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart, I appointed you as a prophet to the nations” Jer. 1:5. Jeremiah had existed in the thoughts of God as you can see from this scripture and was simply brought from the thought level to reality level. Everything that God does first exists in His thoughts (mind). He uses His mind to design and create it and finally uses His tongue to bring into physical existence what had existed in His (mind) thoughts Gen.1:3-4, “And God said let there be light and there was light …” When you begin to see your end from the beginning and start up a definite, clear fellowship with it, sow it as a seed today and tomorrow, it will germinate for you so that you can reap or harvest it. A good tomorrow is in your hands, through your words, you make your tomorrow good and wonderful. We see in Luke 8:11 that the seeds are the word of God and in Gal.6:7 a man reaps what he sows. God has made everything beautiful. Your destiny and future has been made beautiful and has been set in your heart. By careful, calculative and positive confession of this, you bring them into reality, so that they can be. Eccl. 3:11, “He has made everything beautiful in His time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end”. Begin now to fathom it, the problem is that you have not seen it. Until you see your wonderful tomorrow existing already in your mind you cannot seize it. Seize it now as you are seeing it, in your mind, verbalize it now with your tongue and let the angels carry it to your destination. You have a wonderful tomorrow praise the Lord. Words are seeds: what you sow today, you will reap tomorrow; today’s harvest is your yesterday’s seed.
