IS IT A BLESSING OR A CURSE FOR SOMALIA AND THE SOMALI? Col. Hassan Dahir Aweys was arrested. He was sent to Somalia by the totalitarian dictator Isaias Afeworki of Eriteria to topple the newly set up government led by Shaikh Sharif after the Djibouti Conference. Hassan Dahir Aweys was in Asmara, but before it he was one of the UCI, the the military commander of AIAI, then after AIAI was defeated he went to Asmara. Aftter returning to Somalia he organized Hezbul al Islam. In 2010 he joined Al-Shaabab. Apparently his clan members are unhappy of his being arrested. There was a demonstration in Mogadishu. Is it not odd? Do they want peace or disintegration and no Somalia? Look the following short report. The demonstrators burned tires in some streets of Mogadishu, and threw stones at the shops. The demonstrators, who said they belong - to the clan of Hassan Dahir Aweys – called on Somali government to release him immediately.
