IS THE MESSAGE CREATING AN IMPACT OR ARE PEOPLE JUST SAYIN IT? Is there something wrong with me? The amount of celebrity comments about the Sydney siege posted containing over the top emotional statements has left me feeling frustrated. I understand creating awareness and I am all for empathetic minds especially when it comes to those affected by the crime - but have famous people lost their minds? - Ill ride with you is not an offering for you to ride on the back of a tragedy in order to promote yourself. I can hardly find anyone who seems to understand the movement correctly - push the message and not yourself. I believe it is more important to actual commit to the change of behavior privately than it is to publicly over dramatize the situation. I just hope peoples motivations are in the right place - I mean hello celebrities dont even take public transport!
