IVE NEVER MET A PERSON WHO BACKSLIDES THAT WAS THANKFUL. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.(Romans 1:21 KJV) Part of the seed of degeneration that corrupted the ancient world beyond the point of Divine remedy was in not giving glory to God and not being thankful. For a believer being unthankful is the first step downward toward abandoning ones faith. People who backslide ( break fellowship with God and abandon their faith) are seldom thankful. Their problem is a short term memory. When I think about the Lord and remember all Hes done for me I can t help but to rejoice and be thankful. Give thanks to the Lord for He is good.
