If I am wrong please correct me. Now adays I am a little bit confused about bengali illegal immigrants in Arakan. Do you think Arakan is california? Since 1962 Myanmar has become the most poorest country in the world and Arakan is the second most poorest state of Myanmar after Chin state. Are there any fool in the world to go to Arakan for a better living? Will you go to North Korea? In1971 Bangladesh got independence. In those days I remember, we were wearing gunny jute longyis due to shortage of cotton longyis. In 1995 and 2003 I visited England for business purpose. If you visit east london, you will feel you are in Bangladesh. Millions of Bengalies are there. If you go to New York you will find all the taxi drivers Bengalies. I am not telling that Bangladesh is rich. But they are poor. So they migrated to America, Europe, Middle East, Australia, Japan and other developed countries.A report shows that last year, Bangladesh got 15 billions us dollars as remittance from abroad. Let us talk about Rohingyas. In Saudi Arabia alone 700000 Rohingyas are living there. In Pakistan 350000, in Bangladesh 500000 and all over the world you can find Rohingyas. Let us talk about our country Myanmar. Figuers shows that around 4 millions burmese people are working in neighbouring countries. In Arakan believe me there is still not a single factory. Even capital city Akyab got 3 hours of electricity perday which is also private, charging 500 kyats per meter. Yes, I understand you are helping Rakhine because you all are same religion. But it does t mean that you have to deny our existence. We are also human beings like you. For God sake please do not repress us and treat us like animals. Do you want to know our sufferings? Starting from1992 August, we are not allowed to visit one place to another without travel permit, which is very difficult to get without giving bribes. A security official can come and extort money if he wants. If you go to Bangladesh to work there you can not return back. You will be automatically cancelled from your family registration paper. You need govt: approval to marry. Since 1992 I have not seen my parents. I have flown 4 times to Bangladesh to see them. The method is I have to go to Bangladesh by passport from Yangon and wait for them in Teknaf, which is border. My parents will cross the border with 2 weeks border pass. Now they are in their 90s. They no longer able to cross the Naaf river due to their health. Now the problem is their brain is working and their cell phone. They want me to see once more in their last stage of journey. Another problem what disturbing me most is my 12 years old nephew. Now he wants to see his grandparents as he has never seen them before. I tried to explain him the situation. But he is not ready to accept it. Always he is asking me why. I feel fortunate myself because I was rich enough to fly 4 times to Bangladesh. What about others who are poor? May I ask you one question. What will you do if you are in such a condition? According to UN we are the most persecuted minority in the world. We have our own history and culture like you. Please do not comment easily. Before commenting, please try to know about us. For you it is fair to help Rakhine because they are same in religion and appreance with you. But please do not call us Bangali illegal immigrants in our motherland. It hurts us alot. We are Rohingyas and it is our identity. No body has the right to deny us. Thank you all. May God bless us a peaceful and prosperous Myanmar.
