SUCCESS FOR HAYS DOCK CAFE CUSTOMER FEEDBACK!!! Thanks to our perseverance and you, our loyal readers, the price of a sandwich in Hays Dock Cafe has dropped from £6 to £4.75!!! There is more work to be done. We must ensure that this community museum is not co-opted by people stuffing their faces, at the expense of those on lower incomes. Ask yourself this: Do you regularly see teenagers stopping off in the cafe for a snack? Do you regularly see old folk surviving on the state pension stop by for lunch? Do you often see people who are having to get by on disability benefits in the cafe after a tour of the museum? If the answer to these questions is No, then the cafe and the museum are not a community cafe or community museum.
