Late last night, Forsyth County Deputies responded to a domestic homicide at a residence in South Forsyth. The victim, James Conrad, 25, died from his injuries after being transported to an area hospital. He was believed to be shot by Frank Huffman, 57, who was having a physical altercation with Conrad. Huffmans girlfriend, who is also Conrads mother, had minor injuries and was also taken to an area hospital. The responding deputies assigned to our B Watch, handled this call swiftly. They managed to quickly apprehend Huffman and determine what had happened. Although these incidents are rare in Forsyth County, B Watch also responded to another unrelated shooting this past weekend involving a money dispute. The suspect from that shooting was no longer on scene, but our deputies quickly apprehended him and three accomplices. The victim from that shooting survived. These two violent incidents both involved suspects and victims who knew each other and all suspects were arrested quickly. We do not believe there to be any threat to the public at this time.
