If you havent seen the recent post by Spencer our advocacy now is covered by a Farmers Insurance policy that is the result of our advocacy taking the next steps to becoming a more viable and active force here in Portland for pit bulls and the people who have them. Our new insurance agent Spencer Lund Farmers Insurance Agency has helped us find a policy that is perfect for us in providing the security our advocacy needs in order to operate effectively in the public venue here in Portland. It is NOT that we anticipate any need for liability insurance in the amount that we have however as we continue to grow and to get involved in more public activities and events we have found that having liability insurance that covers all of us in the advocacy and those who participate in our events and walks is necessary. I would highly recommend any fellow advocacys or rescues out there that dont already have liability insurance in place to at least investigate what Farmers Insurance offers. The policy is my personal renters insurance policy but can provide coverage for activities that we, Darryl and I, are present at and involved in. Its so affordable its ridiculous and Spencer Lund made getting it set up and in force virtually painless. This insurance policy will also give us a certificate of insurance whenever required to participate in an event, in a parade, etc. where a certificate of insurance is required.
