LYNN FLETCHER, PHARMD & MARJIE LACIAK, PHARMD ACHIEVE BOARD CERTIFICATION IN ADVANCED DIABETES MANAGEMENT The American Association of Diabetes Educators announced that Lynn Fletcher, PharmD of the Valparaiso Fagen Pharmacy and Marjie Laciak, PharmD of the Hobart Fagen Pharmacy achieved Board Certification in Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) by successfully completing the American Association of Diabetes Educators BC-ADM examination. Candidates must meet rigorous eligibility requirements to be able to take the examination. Achieving certification status demonstrates to people with diabetes and employers that the health care professional possesses distinct and specialized knowledge, thereby promoting quality of care for people with diabetes. Fagen Pharmacys Diabetes Education Program was established in 2012 and is recognized by the American Diabetes Association. The Diabetes Education Program offers comprehensive group and individual diabetes education. The program series consists of 4 group meetings held weekly followed by 3 individual meetings. Since the first Fagen Pharmacy was opened in 1972, it has been the goal that each Fagen Pharmacy provides professional pharmaceutical services in a friendly and helpful environment. These are the principles present in each Fagen Pharmacy. Besides pharmaceutical services, Fagen Pharmacy has a total of 23 locations, many that have a full retail offering, as well as other services including but not limited to: immunizations, travel health, diabetes education, home health, uninsured pricing, and home delivery.
