If you remember, the Beach Food Pantry participated in the 2014 Feinstein Challenge earlier this year. The Feinstein Foundation, now in its 17th year holding the challenge, divides $1 million proportionally among all of the agencies using the challenge to help raise money. $227 million was raised nationwide by 1,766 non-profit agencies to help fight hunger. The Beach Food Pantry raised nearly $35,000 in money, commitments, and pounds of food during March and April and has received its allocation of $335 from the Foundation. Thanks so much to everyone who helped us raise funds in support of our mission of Fighting Hunger in Dare County.
