If you represent earth by degrees, latitude and longitude then equator will be at zero degrees dividing the earth exactly in half.It is also the place where earth is nearest to the sun .It is amazing that equator only touches 12 countries and Uganda is blessed to be one of them. Most people assume that equator must be the hottest place in earth is because it is closet to sun. But it is not so. “Death valley “in United States holds the record of being the hottest temperature in the world, with a stone sweating temperature of 134 degree Fahrenheit . Death valley is followed by Ghadames in Libya which has a recorded temperature of 131 degree Fahrenheit.
