Im a skeptic through and through, but my experience in Victoria at the Bedford Regency Hotel still spooks me when I think about it. I still believe 99.9% of all ghost stories can have very worldly explanations, but its that .1% that spooks me. That being said, this video about famous ghost pictures really freaks me out. Im willing to bet most of them can be explained through attention seeking, equipment failure or apophenia, but theres a couple in there that seem to defy all explanations. Elisabeth and I both love all the ghost shows out there (except for the ghost bros who go around yelling at dead people and Most Haunted, which is so fake that we stopped watching it when it got so bad that making fun of it wasnt fun any more. When we watch ghost shows, we played the gross over-exaggeration of what actually happened/attention seeking behaviours/straight up crazy pants guessing game. 99.9% of the stories fell into one of the three. The one that didnt was a story about a guy who tended to cemeteries for a living. If anyone is invested in the idea that dead people are just dead people, it would be him. He talked about going to sleep in a house that was in the cemetery and provided for the keeper. He and his wife had five degrees between them, and they had boxes and boxes of books between them to prove it. He said the first night he and his wife went to bed. When they woke up in the morning, every single book they owned was in piles of five around all four walls of the bedroom, **including in front of the door**, which opened inward, so whoever piled them there couldnt have left the room.
