Im at the gym and this adorable little Asian lady is one treadmill over from me. Her husband was giving her some sort of pep talk when I passed by them. She looked sad, frustrated and on the brink of quitting. I saw her staring at me, so I smiled at her and hopped up onto the treadmill to do some work. She said something to her husband and shooed him away. But, she kept watching me. I noticed that she was going REALLY hard on the machine now in total Beast Mode and looked back over at her. My new friend took her hand off the sidebar and gave me a huge thumbs up and said something very encouraging in a language I dont understand. I thanked her and gave her a nod & big smile back as if to say, Keep up the awesome work, sista!!! Ms Beast Mode laughed and we kept on going. I just took a break to write this because its moments, like this, that make life beautiful. With all the wars going on, both abroad and in our own cities, between our own people, its so nice to be reminded of our common humanity & goodness. Smiles, encouragement and love are languages we all understand. And, those are the languages everyone can be fluent in, no matter who you are
