Im considering bottled or filtered water. Many, but not all, of the new dogs that come to our house have bowel issues for the first 2-3 weeks. It only happens with new dogs and it only happens during the first 2-3 weeks. So Im thinking maybe its the water. Something they get used to after a while. If it has that effect on dogs, it cant be good for anyone. At first I thought it was a bug from the shelter, but it also happens with dogs coming out of other foster homes who did not have the runs until they got here. Does anyone use bottled or filtered water? What are the options? Should we get a filter that attaches to the faucet, have water delivered, or buy bottled water and bring it home? What is the best and cheapest option? Also, do other pet fosters see new dogs getting the runs when they fist join your family?
