Im feeling pretty annoyed by quite a few posts I have seen in the past half an hour or so. People being quite disrespectful, not just on Facebook, but Twitter too. I dont understand why, when a famous person passes away, people feel the need to post things like Youre all acting so sad, but you didnt care until he/she was dead. Hearing that a young woman with two very little boys has passed away is going to make people sad no matter who it is and no matter how famous they are. It just so happens that this particular person was an influential and famous person in the world, and therefore her death is, of course, going to be all over the news. If I heard that a young woman I didnt know with two young boys, a lovely husband and father had passed away, I would still post something to pay my respects. It just so happens that the news doesnt cover every single death that happens every single day. Because that would be impossible. Another thing that has annoyed me is people saying I dont even know who Peaches Geldof is. Now, I knew who she was, but I didnt particularly follow her career. I knew that she had been a bit crazy in the past but had settled down and had two wee boys and I thought that was really lovely. I didnt really know much about her other than that and the fact that she was Bob Geldofs daughter. But who actually cares how well I knew who she was? No one. And no one cares that you didnt know who she was. Just be respectful. A human life has been lost and it is a very sad thing. I have seen more posts like the ones I have mentioned here than actual posts paying respects, and that makes me really sad, so I felt the need to mention it. Sorry if you disagree, but I just needed to get out how frustrating it is. Rest peacefully, Peaches. Gone too soon.
