Im glad I read this before I had a chance to complain about my 6:30AM workout! Excerpts from Annas latest update from South Africa: *We saw 150 patients in the rural church at Gubhethuka....... *Patients began arriving at 1am for our 10am clinic...... *We handed out lots of meds, cleaned out a few ears and heard many stories that touched our hearts...... (Heres one story) *_____ is 73 years old and still works in the sugar cane fields. Her hands (photo) are cracked and worn from her labor. She has had pain since a stroke 6 years ago left her weak on her right side. She complained to my translator that we “only come once a year.” She missed last year’s clinic because her husband died and she is left to care for 5 children and a grandchild. She came back this year because the meds she gets from us “help her so much.”..... *We have another clinic tomorrow and a clinic for 350-400 ACM kids on Saturday. (THAT IS NOT A TYPO: 1 day->350-400 children!) (Todays photos are from the current trip.)
