Im going to Denmark in November to present at the Otherness and Transgression in Celebrity and Fan Cultures conference. I have never been overseas (since NZ doesnt count), so this is a little scary and confronting for me. So Im overplanning, like the good defensive pessimist I am. Looking at flights - no, I dont want to spend 41 hours traveling, thank you FlightCentre...I do kind of want to catch the train from Copenhagen to Aarhus though. (Linc points out that this means Im happier catching a train under the ocean than flying above it, which is the exact opposite to him.) (Also, I need cold weather stuff so badly.)
