Im gonna rant for a moment about technology and I dont care if it dates me. When I was younger electronic devices (when well maintained) would last for a very long time. If something in it broke, you could go to Radio Shack , get what you needed and fix it. I learned at a very young age how to do this (thanks, Dad). I have a cassette deck from 1990 that is still in perfect working condition. My Father has stuff even older and it still works. I *HATE* that modern consumer technology is designed to have a short shelf life. It will only last a short while before you have to upgrade or buy another one. Dont me wrong, GENIUS business model, but it really sucks for those of us on the user end. Long story short, the buzzards are now circling above my (purchased brand new in 2009) ipod. As ipods are really a dying breed at this point, nothing has the storage I want and I cant (and wont) do The Cloud, Im left here very unhappy. Okay, rant done. Now get off my lawn.
