Im hoping someone out there has had this same issue and can offer - TopicsExpress

Im hoping someone out there has had this same issue and can offer me some solid advice. I was in a car accident two weeks ago. The accident was not my fault. The company that owned the vehicle contacted me and wanted to pay cash for the damage. I had an estimate done at Bi-City for $3,757 to repair my van. The company said they couldnt afford that and decided to let their insurance company handle the claim. The insurance company (Atlas Insurance) sent out an appraisal guy to do an estimate on my van. I told him everything that was wrong with my van. I just saw the estimate he wrote up today. It was for $1,797.00. That does not cover the cost of repairs on my van. He didnt even include the windshield that got cracked and he got the sales tax wrong. I contacted the guy at Bi-City and emailed him the estimate. He wrote up a supplement and sent it to the insurance company who then forwarded it to the appraisal guy. My question is can I do anything about the insurance company not paying for the full amount of damages to my van? What options do I have? My van is a Hyundai Entourage 2007. Its in pretty good condition.
