Im really going to miss this man. To me and my generation, the hip-hop generation, he was our John Madden. I remember him getting a lot of flak for how he approached his craft but the very things his critics hated him for were the very things people my generation and younger loved about him. When Peter Jennings passed away there was a great sense of sadness that was similar to us losing a parent or grandfather. Stuarts loss is more painful because it was like losing a big brother you grow up with that shows you ropes, grows up with you and speaks to you in a way only you and him can understand. Thats what Stuart was too us. He understood us, spoke our language and communicated to us the way he did because he was one us. With his style he was the first journalist, from my generation, to get up and speak for us and say hey hip-hop generation Your the man. Stand up and be counted. He changed the game forever, and were all better and happier for it. He also taught to never give up and keep on living to the fullest even during the times of great adversity.
