Im really starting to hate this business Im in. When I first started....I envisioned making acquaintances....getting my name out there and having people want to buy my art for their personal collections. But little did I realize how mean, nasty, and diabolical other businesses and artisans can be! I find it mind blowing that people will resort to gossip, slander, and harassment just to try to get rid of the competition. How can people just fill in the blanks about people they have never met or have only briefly know. And with this whole social media outlet....it brings out the demonic in some. Or virtual stalker.... And it really perplexes me when some people try to read between the lines on posts of others and think its about them?! I really thought the popular table in high school stayed in high school. Apparently, it extends in the primitive/folk art world. Im actually ashamed at the actions of others. Especially when they have been around way longer than me. All I know is....the people I have admired or tried to emulate have all been tarnished by their petty, vain ,paranoid, condescending actions towards others. Its really a shame. I think social media really lifted the mask on some people. :( Thats my vent for the day.
