Im spending the morning with Burnie Starks and Dr. Abel Morado from TUSD going door-to-door to visit with students who have dropped out of school. It is part of the Steps to Success initiative between the Mayors office and TUSD and upwards of 100 volunteers! We are trying to get these kids back in the classroom with personal stories and words of encouragement. This has been a very eye-opening experience for me.
