Im sure many of you have seen Lisas post of feeling helpless right now. Nearly 7 months have come and gone since Zac started battling this crazy illness. We have seen the new flowers of spring, the heat of summer and now we are moving into fall. A time for college freshman to leave home and set out to concur the world, one class at a time. This isnt so for Zac, although he will be starting Green River tomorrow , this isnt exactly the place he planned to be right now. He had hoped to be starting his classes somewhere across the country, beginning a new adventure far from home. That being said Im sure we can all image the pain and frustration he must be feeling these recent weeks knowing what he is missing out on. Although Zac knows what a blessing everyday is, it doesnt make it easier for him when seeing his friends leave for college. As we settle back into our routines and get caught up in fall, school, soccer, etc, take a minute to savor the moment and realize the blessings we are given every day. And please realize that so many would love the opportunities we take for granted every day. Please also take a moment to think of Zac. Send him a text or DM or pick up the phone and call him. He needs our support and strength as much ok was he did back in the ICU. This virus Zac has been dealing with doesnt want to leave without a fight. Zac needs our continued support to put those gloves on and stay in the ring and knock this thing out. Stand strong with Zac and let him know you are there for him. Thank you everyone.
