The Duke, the Police and the Yes in the clouds At The Hills Have Ayes we receive countless emails every day, some saying “keep up the good work” , some from volunteers wanting to get involved but we also get suggestions from locals as to which hill or monument to target next. One suggestion was the statue of the 1st Duke of Sutherland on Ben Bhraggie near Golspie in the Highlands. A 30m (100ft) tall statue of the man responsible for one of the worst periods of the Highland Clearances in our history. We couldn’t ignore it.
