Im sure weve all heard the rhetoric Drink Milk For Healthy Bones - but little do we realize that milk is NOT the ultimate super-food as claimed by the industry. In reality, aside from the inflammation-promoting effects of pasteurized milk, there is more bio-available calcium in foods like kale, spinach, collard greens etc (foods which also contain high levels of magnesium which are crucial for calcium absorption). Taking high levels of calcium without magnesium (and vitamin D & K2) can actually make your bones MORE brittle, not less. Many sources of milk are also tainted by genetically modified growth hormones (rBGH), antibiotics, feed contaminated with mycotoxins - and even more disgusting... pus from damaged and diseased udders. If you are going to drink milk, make sure its raw and unprocessed and from a reputable farm. You can find good sources of raw milk from your local farmers markets or local eco-concious health shops...
